Newman "S-382" Surface Planer - Top & Bottom

Helical Carbide Cutterheads

75 HP - 3600 RPM top head motor; 50 HP - 3600 RPM bottom head motor; 3 phase, 60 cycles, 460 or575 volts.

Feed works consist of six feed rolls: Two top infeed rolls and one top outfeed roll (all top rolls are pneumatic tires mounted on steel shafts); three steel ball-bearing idle bottom rolls.

Variable feed speeds of 80 - 350 FPM. Hydraulic feed

Sectional top head chipbreaker with 3" wide, hardened steel toe pieces.

Air operated top head chipbreaker release and pressure bar release.
