*This Lot is for the Jenkins Shape and Sand only, Doucet Return Conveyor auctioned as separate Lot in Lot #005-SC
5100 CNC Feed-Thru Shape and Sand uses proven technology, a precision feed chain and a structurally solid design to produce all the parts of a door. Optimized contouring reduces sanding and improves product finish. Minimize change-over time with quick-change, counter-rotating direct drive spindles and easy-to-use touchscreen operator interface. Raise, arch, sand, cope, detail panels and rails – all at an incredible value.
Features
Rugged Design
Tubular steel frame provides a rugged foundation.
Stations utilize high efficiency bearings and dovetail slides to achieve both rigidity and positional accuracy.
Optimized Contouring
Full profile counter-rotating cutters increases quality and reduces tear out as the part moves continuously through the machine. Blending two tools in a single cut is easily accomplished through use of the machine interface.
Quick-Change Tooling
The 5100 series utilizes Direct Drive Spindles and machine lock-outs for quick and safe tool changes.
Sanding Station
Floating Head Sanders provide sanding on arched shapes as well as straight cuts. Quick-change HSK-50C spindle motors reduce changeover times.
CNC Controlled Arching
Measure the part and cut the arch while the chain runs at a constant speed. Continuous Mode arching capability calculates arch shape geometry for a specific width based on only three parameters: arch height, shoulder length, and fillet radius. Family Mode programmable template matching capability produces parts that match components from other shapers and eliminates the need for cumbersome templates. Arch rails, panels and valances can be manufactured with ease.
Graphical Touch Screen Operator Interface
User friendly operator interface utilizes a graphical menu system. Operation of the machine is as simple as touching an icon on the screen, loading the wood, and pressing the clamp and cycle icons. Training is made quick and easy with on-screen graphical instruction prompting the operator, and online user's manual for quick reference.
Software Features
Six preprogrammed standard door styles provided with spilt arches for all. Custom arch styles can be easily created utilizing graphical geometry setup menus. Up to 1,200 custom arch styles can be saved for future use to minimize setup time. Tooling compensation utility automatically adjusts part setup for changes to tooling dimensions.
Feed Chain
Constructed of steel links with 4” x 6” aluminum top plates, the Jenkins’ SEMC feed chain provides a large, stable surface for feeding parts. Quick-change feed dogs are standard. Feed small, difficult parts, or square up larger parts with the feed dogs. Feed dogs are a feature that less expensive chain designs cannot provide due to the rigidity required of the chain.
