Marba Custom 8 Head Moulder

                This is a custom made moulder made in northern Spain by Marba, They were the largest moulder manufacturer in Spain. The reason I had mine made by them instead of Weineg was because they held certain patents that allowed wood stock to float past the first two heads ( bottom and right side) which helped to remove warp and twist out of the mill run. They also offered more features that I wanted for the money than anybody else. This moulder is designed for custom furniture work. It has very little use, it didn’t fit into are overall business plan.

1st Head:  Bottom - 7 1/2 H.P. 3450 rpm, Can be set up for Flat Joining

2nd Head:  Right - 7 1/2 H.P. 3450 rpm, Can be set up for Edge Joining

*3rd  Head: Top - 7 1/2 H.P. 3450 rpm,  Set up for thickness

4 Head: Top - 10 H.P. 3450 rpm, Set up for profiling

*5 Head: Top/Bottom - 10 H.P. 3450 rpm, Set up for profiling on either top or bottom of feed table          

*6 Head: Left - 7 1/2 H.P. 3450 rpm, Set up for dimensioning

7 Head:  Right - 10 H.P. 3450 rpm, Set up for profiling

*8th Head: 360 degree Universal -   9 H.P. 1700/3400 rpm, 2 speed, oscillating with sander attachment

* Motorized adjustment of spindle

Built in self-contained 12 ½ H.P. blower with 14” outlet for dust collection – only needs cyclone

Heads #5 and #8 can be setup for climb cut

Spindle diameter 1 13/16”, Head diameter 4 ½”, Spindle speed is 6000 rpm

10’ Chrome Plated Infeed Table with air flotation nozzles

Moulder comes with 2 - 6” S4S heads, 2 - 9” S4S heads, 1 -5”, 2-4” and 1- 1½” heads

All heads are self locking on spindle, complete with all spacers and double nuts for each spindle

440 volt, 3 phase – all electrics are Seimens for easy replacement.

This is a hydraulic through feed moulder with 3 sets of steel infeed rollers and 3 sets of matching upper and lower rubber rollers on pneumatic cylinders, all hydraulic parts readily available.

Profile Grinder: Comes with Marba’s profile grinder

Straight Grinder: 24” grinder for steel knives set for both 45 and 30 degree bevel. Comes with attachments for sharpening shaper knives.
