Control Panel with Load Meter
The easy to use control panel features a digital readout sanding load meter. Use this handy feature to measure the current amp load on the sanding motor when a sanding operation is in progress. Easy access to the start and stop buttons for the feed belt, sanding belt and table.
Use the keypad to enter the desired sanding depth and use the start/stop button to move the table to a preset sanding depth or stop table movement immediately.
Two Sanding Heads with Adjustable Platen
The W1757 is equipped with an adjustable felt platen and graphite slip for those extra sensitive sanding operations. The platen position allows for three basic types of sanding. Platen up position allows for the front roller to remove large amounts of material quickly, but leaves a rougher finish. Platen even position allows the rollers to work together with the platen to produce intermediate/final finishing. The platen down position allows for the majority of the work to be accomplished by the platen pressure on the workpiece. The result is a smooth, flat finish.
