Complete ItalPresse "Lock-Form AIR.S.S" membraneless press line with (2) shuttle trays. Designed for lamination of pre-shaped and glued panels with PVC and polypropylene films without the use of a membrane. This concept allows for cycle times as short as (1-1/2 - 2) Min depending on the film thickness.
Platen dimensions: 1250 x 2550mm (49" x 100"), Total daylight opening 7.8", max. workpiece thickness 2-1/8", specific pressure 100 PSI.
End loading, shuttle loading tray runs on "THK" precision linear guides with automatic movement in-and-out of Press for continuous operation. - Special patented design feature moves the upper mobile press platen into the closed position and locks it in place without the use of hydraulic press cylinders.
Electrical resistance heated upper platen, 30 kW, max. platen temperature 130° C (266° F); vacuum system with high cap. accumulator tank for very rapid draw-down of the film over the shaped panels.
The concept of working without a membrane allows for forming the film into deep and vertical sided profiles, very small profiles like vein lines, and lipped profiles which are not possible using a membrane. Working without a membrane permits the higher working temperatures required for laminating the environmentally preferred polypropylene films and saves the expense of regularly replacing damaged/worn membranes.
Electrical control cabinets with PLC & sequence display. LED heat readout and setting timer. Heat regulation for top and bottom platen.
