Protech PT-4 Radius Former, RFS radio frequency generator.
Circular veneer former designed to form arched products up to 20" wide x 96" long x up to 4-1/2" thick. 11.875" Min. and 48" max. radius; 20" width capacity allows for multiple parts to be formed in a single charge.
Inner profile of the part to be formed is defined by (25) forming arms mounted to an array of steel ways. Forming arms are easily positioned to the correct location by referencing scales.
Hydraulically tensioned stainless steel band provides laminating pressure. Band is suspended from adjustable drum mounted to a swing arm.
Machine cycle includes rotating the sawing arm 180° by a hydraulic motor; disc brakes with variable hydraulic pressure are used on a drum rotor to tension the stainless steel band.
